Impact PPA to provide electricity for Edna Adan hospital

Impact PPA, as part of a partnership agreement with the Green Earth Day Network, will install hybrid systems to provide power to the Edna Adan Hospital, a gospital located in Hargeisa, the second largest city of Somalia and also the capital of the Republic of Somaliland.

About Edna Adan Hospital
This non-profit hospital was founded and is currently headed by Edna Adan Ismail, former Foreign Minister of Somaliland.

In its early days, it was a health center that served as a maternity ward. Subsequently, it has become an important reference institution that can deliver obstetric, medical, pediatric and surgical treatments.

Currently, the hospital has several diagnostic laboratory facilities and an emergency blood bank.

It can perform diagnosis and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV / AIDS testing.

In addition, the hospital offers training for health professionals and free treatment for patients who require special surgery.

A hybrid wind and solar system to supply the center with electricity

A new project was launched by both Earth Day Network and Impact PPA groups to provide reliable power to the Edna Adan Hospital.

This project, which is part of the “50 by 50” program, will focus mainly on the supply of hybrid wind and solar systems in hospitals, but also in other types of institutions (hospitals, schools, etc.). .

According to Impact PPA, the power supply system will be installed at the Edna Adan Hospital so that money earmarked for the purchase of fuel can rather be used to improve the care provided to patients.

For her part, Edna Adan Ismail announced that she was grateful and honored that her hospital was chosen as the first project of the partnership.
